Do I need to unlock my domain first?
Yes, your domain must be unlocked before every transfer to prevent unauthorized moves. If you’re not sure how to do this, simply share your domain name with our team and we’ll unlock it for you at no cost.
Where do I get my EPP Code? And what if I can’t find it?
The EPP Code (or Authorization Code) is a required security code issued by your current domain provider for any domain transfer. If you’re not sure where to request it, or you can’t reach your previous provider, just share your domain name with us and the hostatom team will take care of everything for you.
How long does a domain transfer take?
A domain transfer typically takes about 4-7 business days, depending on approval from your previous provider. The hostatom team will keep you updated on the status and let you know at every step.
Will my website or email work normally during the transfer?
No worries – transferring your domain won’t affect your existing website or email as long as you’re still using the DNS from your current hosting provider. If any DNS changes or special configurations are involved, our team can check everything for you before the transfer begins.
